The media office of the Panjshir provincial authority has announced that 130 tons of cherries, valued at 13 million Afghanis, have been harvested across the province this year, with the harvesting process still ongoing.
According to the statement, 20 tons of the produce are expected to be exported to Central Asian countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
In addition, the construction of approximately 100 greenhouses is currently underway in Panjshir and is expected to be completed and brought into operation in the near future.
