Ariana Afghan Airlines CEO Mullah Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharafat held discussions with officials from a Jordanian airline company regarding a contract to acquire a charter Boeing 767-200 aircraft.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation in technical, operational, and commercial sectors, as well as increasing the flight capacity of the charter aircraft.
Based on the discussions, it was stated that the aircraft, with a capacity to carry around 290 passengers and 25 tons of commercial cargo per flight, could play an important role in strengthening Afghanistan’s air transportation sector and providing greater facilities for Afghan traders and passengers.
It was also announced that the Boeing 767-200 aircraft is expected to be transferred to Kabul in the near future and will begin regular domestic and international flights.
