8th of Sawar; The day of the collapse of the communist regime

Today, Saturday, the 8th of Sawar, marks the 32nd anniversary of the fall of the communist regime in the country. 46 years ago, on the 7th of Sawar, 1978, several foreign communists staged a coup in Afghanistan, leading to numerous disasters and misfortunes in the country. These foreign individuals committed crimes against the sacredness and Islamic values of the Afghan Muslim and Mujahid nation. However, our Muslim and Mujahid nation revolted against the communist ideology and actions. This unprecedented Jihadi struggle, accompanied by sacrifices, lasted for 14 years. After this prolonged jihad, the Mujahideen successfully overthrew the communist regime, which had been supported by the former Soviet Union, in 1992. Throughout this arduous struggle, the Muslim and Mujahid nation of Afghanistan endured heavy casualties, with nearly one million Afghans martyred and millions more facing various challenges. The invaders were defeated in our country, and the Afghan mujahid nation managed to overthrow the last communist administration, completely liberating the country. The 8th of Sawar 1992 stands as a day of victory, freedom, and independence for the Afghan nation, where the sacrifices of the Afghan mujahid nation paid off, safeguarding our people and the country from the threat of communism. This victory is a testament to the sacrifices made by millions of Afghans who achieved it through their holy jihad.
