Herat Governor Sheikh Maulana Islam Jar and Khorasan Razavi Governor Gholam Hossein Mozaffari discussed strengthening trade and transit cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran during a phone call.
The two sides discussed improving facilities at the Islam Qala and Dogharun border crossings. Herat’s governor said Afghanistan has provided necessary support to Iranian traders and transport workers and called for similar facilities for Afghan drivers in Iran.
