Shaikh Maulana Islamjar, Governor of Herat province, met with Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and his accompanying delegation in Kabul to discuss strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
The Herat provincial administration said the discussions focused on expanding trade relations, establishing the Herat-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, developing transit and logistics infrastructure, facilitating visa procedures for traders, and increasing investment opportunities between the two countries.
Khodjaev emphasized the importance of expanding economic and trade ties with Afghanistan, saying Uzbekistan is prepared to enhance cooperation in trade, transport, industry, and investment sectors.
