Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, CEO of Afghanistan Electricity Company, along with his delegation, met with the President of GSU during their visit to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the company, discussions focused on the implementation of power generation projects, electricity transmission and distribution, and the commencement of practical work on a planned 5,000 MW power generation project.
GSU officials reaffirmed their commitment to investing in Afghanistan’s energy sector, including the construction of transmission lines and substations.
It is noteworthy that GSU has recently begun investing in Afghanistan’s electricity sector, with the 5,000 MW project set to be jointly implemented with the Ghazanfar Group.
