Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Finance and Administration, met with China’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Yu Xiaoyong, to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed a range of bilateral issues, including the recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Dr. Naeem reaffirmed that the Islamic Emirate is committed to engaging with all countries based on mutual respect and cooperation, emphasizing that Afghanistan’s territory will not be used to threaten the security of any other nation.
For his part, Yu Xiaoyong expressed China’s desire to strengthen long-term, respectful relations with Afghanistan and reiterated his country’s respect for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and national values.
