The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Pakistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Kabul and lodged a strong and decisive protest over the violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and airstrikes targeting civilian residences in Kunar, Paktia, and Paktika provinces.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan views the attacks as a clear violation of international principles, humanitarian law, and national sovereignty, and strongly condemned the incidents.
The statement further said that, over recent years, Pakistan has sought to divert attention from its own security and political challenges by making unfounded allegations against Afghanistan and attempting to shift its problems onto the country, while repeatedly adopting an ineffective policy of resolving issues through force and military action.
