At least 65,382 Palestinians have been martyred in Israel’s ongoing war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
According to the ministry, 38 bodies were brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours, while 190 people were injured, raising the total number of wounded to 166,985 since the start of the onslaught. “Many victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” the statement added.
It also noted that three Palestinians were martyred and more than 15 injured by Israeli army fire while attempting to obtain humanitarian aid in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number martyred while seeking aid to 2,526, with over 18,511 others wounded since May 27.
The ministry further said that since March 18, when the Israeli army resumed its attacks after shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal, 12,823 Palestinians have been martyred and 54,944 injured.
