German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, addressing the UN General Assembly on Saturday, reiterated an “urgent call” for Israel to allow safe humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.
“We repeat our urgent call on Israel to allow safe humanitarian access,” Wadephul said, reaffirming Germany’s commitment to providing aid through partners such as the United Nations to reach those most in need.
He emphasized that justice requires every person to have access to food, clean water, education, and healthcare.
“The terrible war in Gaza is raging on — hell on earth, a humanitarian nightmare as we speak. This war must end, and the hostages must be released,” he added.
