Iran has rejected a U.S. proposal to pause the Middle East conflict and instead launched new attacks on Israel and Gulf Arab countries, including a strike that hit a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport.
The escalation comes as Israel carried out airstrikes on Tehran, while the United States increased its military presence in the region.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran has no plans to negotiate and will pursue its own conditions to end the conflict. The U.S. proposal, relayed via Pakistan, reportedly included sanctions relief, limits on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
