According to the statement released by the Kremlin Palace, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and discussed the ongoing situation in Gaza.
Putin emphasized the continuation of Russia’s humanitarian aid to Gaza and called for an end to the current crisis in Gaza.
Also, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya said; the latest resolution on Gaza, which was approved by the Security Council, as a result of American pressure, removed the issue of ceasefire and only discussed the issue of speeding up humanitarian aid to Gaza.
This resolution was prepared by some other Arab countries of the United Arab Emirates and the issue of ceasefire was also included, but the United States opposed it.
