Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi held a telephone conversation with Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Khalifa, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, during which he strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on Qatar.
Mr. Muttaqi reaffirmed that the people and government of Afghanistan stand firmly with Qatar in this sensitive moment. He described the Israeli strike on the Palestinian negotiating team in Doha as a blatant violation of international laws, customs, and values, and an overstep of all boundaries.
He further stressed that Islamic countries must take a united, serious, and meaningful stance against the Israeli regime.
For his part, Dr. Al-Khalifa thanked the Islamic Emirate for its condemnation and support, calling Afghanistan’s position a clear expression of brotherhood.
