Nooruddin Azizi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with members of the Ferula Asafetida Traders’ Union of Balkh Province along with traders from several other provinces to discuss challenges facing the sector.
During the meeting, traders highlighted concerns over falling Ferula Asafetida prices, lack of coordination in exports, and a decline in overseas sales of the product. They also called for the establishment of a clear mechanism to better regulate the export process.
