The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, His Excellency Al-Haj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mr. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, to discuss bilateral relations and Pakistan’s recent violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty.
His Excellency reiterated that Afghanistan does not seek war and that the hostilities were initiated by Pakistan’s breach of Afghan territory.
He noted that under the leadership of the Minister of National Defense, constructive talks are underway with the Pakistani side in Doha, and the Islamic Emirate awaits the results of these discussions with patience and dignity.
The Malaysian Prime Minister welcomed the initiation of dialogue between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of resolving disputes through diplomacy. He also expressed Malaysia’s readiness to assist in facilitating peace and understanding.
His Excellency Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund thanked the Malaysian leader for his support and reaffirmed Afghanistan’s commitment to peace, mutual respect, and good neighborly relations.
