Uzbek Ambassador Oybek Usmanov met with Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Kabul.
According to the Ministry, the two sides discussed the expansion of bilateral relations, as well as matters related to trade, transit, and other key areas of cooperation.
During the meeting, Dr. Naeem highlighted the vast opportunities for economic collaboration between the two nations, emphasizing that such cooperation could yield mutual benefits, particularly in the development of transit infrastructure and the promotion of trade.
Ambassador Oybek expressed his appreciation for Dr. Naeem’s active participation in the recent Termez meeting, viewing it as a clear indication of the strengthening ties between the two countries. He also shared Uzbekistan’s plans regarding the Afghan-Trans project and other related initiatives.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to broadening cooperation and ensuring the continued enhancement of mutual understanding.
