The Second Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Zakir Jalali, highlighted the significance of the recent ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan, stating that the Islamic Emirate has not only defended its territory but has also pursued diplomatic solutions to regional issues.
On his Facebook page, Mr. Jalali emphasized that violence and strained relations serve no country’s interests. He noted that the content of the agreement reflects a diplomatic victory for the Islamic Emirate’s negotiating team.
Zakir Jalali further reiterated that Afghanistan has consistently upheld a principled stance of non-interference in the affairs of other countries, and welcomed the Pakistani side’s commitment to the same principle in the presence of mediators.
