NEPA and Norwegian Committee Sign $70,000 Cooperation Agreement

The National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) and the Norwegian Committee in Afghanistan have signed a cooperation agreement valued at over $70,000.

The agreement was signed by Mullah Zainul Abedin Abid, NEPA’s Deputy Director for Policy and Professional Affairs, and Taria Waterdal, Head of the Norwegian Committee in Afghanistan.

Taria Waterdal highlighted the importance of joint cooperation and encouraged NEPA’s participation in additional related programs.

Meanwhile, Mullah Zainul Abedin Abid praised the Norwegian Committee’s collaboration and described the agreement as a significant step toward improving Afghanistan’s environmental and educational conditions.

Under this agreement, the project “Strengthening Safe, Inclusive, and Quality Learning Opportunities and Providing Drinking Water, Hygiene, and Environmental Sanitation Services” will be implemented in Badakhshan, Faryab, Balkh, and Takhar provinces.
