Dr. Mohammad Naeem, Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Kenichi Masamoto, Ambassador of Japan to Afghanistan, to discuss bilateral relations, mutual interests, and sustainable cooperation between the two countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Dr. Naeem, while expressing appreciation for Japan’s positive position toward Afghanistan, emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations.
According to the ministry, the Japanese Ambassador also commended the Islamic Emirate’s efforts in combating narcotics and maintaining security in Afghanistan, and welcomed the recent meeting between Islamic Emirate officials and the European Union in Brussels.
