Construction work has officially begun on a rice processing plant worth nearly two million dollars in a newly established industrial park in the central district of Baghlan Province.
Officials from the Department of Industry and Commerce in Baghlan said the plant is being built by a local company and, once completed, will create hundreds of direct and indirect job opportunities.
According to the officials, the main objective of establishing the plant is to process domestic rice production and increase its market value through modern processing methods.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mawlawi Abdullah Mukhtar, Governor of Baghlan, stated that the local administration fully supports investors and is committed to providing the necessary facilities for industrial growth and the expansion of investment in the province.
