Four Israeli soldiers were killed on Monday in Gaza City after their tank was hit by an explosive device planted by Hamas resistance forces, the Israeli military reported.
Three of the killed were Armored Corps soldiers, while the identity of the fourth has not been released.
An initial army investigation indicated that three Hamas militants approached a tank on the outskirts of Sheikh Radwan, a neighborhood in northwestern Gaza City, at dawn, fired on it, and threw an explosive device into one of its hatches, setting the vehicle on fire and killing all four soldiers inside.
