Herat Governor Shaikh Maulana Islam Jar met with Sayed Hassan Mortazavi, Iran’s Deputy Ambassador to Afghanistan, to discuss easing visa procedures and expanding bilateral trade.
According to the Herat Governor’s press office, the governor called for faster visa issuance for citizens, increased trade through the Islam Qala border crossing, and the resolution of transportation challenges at the Dogharoon and Islam Qala crossings.
The Iranian deputy ambassador pledged to work toward facilitating the visa process and addressing trade and transit issues between the two countries.
