IEA Spokesman Regarding the UN Security Council’s Claims

According to the United Nations Security Council’s most recent report, there are al-Qaeda centers in Afghanistan or certain groups operating there that are subject to the Islamic Emirate’s governance.

This baseless accusation is categorically denied by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Regretfully, a consistent campaign of false accusations against the IEA has been launched from the UN address, which consistently disseminates misinformation.

This is an abuse of the United Nations address, which regrettably member nations permit to go on.

We are aware that some Security Council members have lost in Afghanistan, so it is only natural for them to propagate misinformation and hatred. Nevertheless, the members of the Council who maintain cordial relations with Afghanistan should not permit this illustrious organization to lose its standing and its decisions to be made based on the political goals of other countries.

There is no one related to al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, nor does the Islamic Emirate allow anyone to use the territory of Afghanistan against others.

Regretfully, the Security Council’s reports come from sources adverse to Afghanistan’s freedom, security, and development—sources that have supported the occupation for the past 20 years on behalf of their own interests.

In order to avoid undermining the UN Security Council’s standing and credibility in Afghanistan, we hope that it maintains its neutrality and refrains from reflecting certain self-serving political and economic objectives in its reports.

It is important to note that the decision made based on such erroneous information was one of the primary causes of the catastrophe of the previous 20 years.
