Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Director General of the National Disaster Management Authority, held a meeting with Mia Park, Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), during which discussions were held on the organization’s construction and preventive projects.
Mr. Turabi underscored the effectiveness of the National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS) and emphasized the importance of continued support for personnel engaged in this sector.
Mia Park stated that she has instructed her colleagues to ensure close and sustained cooperation with the disaster preparedness and response authority. She further noted that previously incomplete projects in Paktia province have now been reactivated and are expected to be completed in the near future, and expressed assurance regarding the provision of additional funding for communities affected by the Kunar earthquake
