During his trip to Khost, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, visited the central area of Lakanow accompanied by a number of high-ranking scholars, tribal and religious leaders. The tribal leaders of Lakanow expressed their happiness with the arrival of the Islamic Emirate and emphasized that the visit of the Political Deputy of the Prime Minister signifies the commitment of the Islamic Emirate to not only the central region but also to understanding the situation of the nation as a whole. They requested the implementation and expansion of development projects in Khost. Additionally, they called for efforts at the provincial and regional levels to address and resolve ethnic conflicts. The Political Deputy of the Prime Minister acknowledged the unforgettable struggle and Jihad of the people of Khost against the invasions of the Soviet Union and the United States. He further stated that addressing the people’s problems and implementing essential projects are top priorities for the Islamic Emirate, and they will carefully consider the suggestions put forth by the tribal leaders of Khost.
