United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed deep concern over the worsening crisis in the Middle East, warning that its consequences could extend far beyond the region and affect other parts of the world.
Referring to the recent clashes, Guterres wrote on his X account: “The Middle East crisis is deepening, and its consequences will not be limited to the region.”
The UN Secretary-General called on all parties involved to intensify efforts toward a diplomatic solution and take immediate steps to prevent further escalation of the conflict.
