The Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met in Kabul with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Wang Yi, and his accompanying delegation.
H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani welcomed the Chinese Foreign Minister, describing the relations between the two countries as historic, and noted that China has always been a neighbor that has maintained positive engagement with Afghanistan.
H.E. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, stated: “The relations between us and Afghanistan have deep roots in history.”
The meeting discussed issues related to security, the fight against narcotics, border security and the coordination of border forces, as well as trade, agriculture, and training programs.
