In a coordination meeting with Ben Flower, Executive Officer of UN-Habitat, the Director General of Coordination of Municipal Affairs of the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs, Haji Abdul Qahir Feroz emphasized continuous cooperation.
Today, Feb 7, 2023- Haji Abdul Qahir Feroz, the Director General of Coordination of Municipal Affairs met with Ben Flower, the Executive Officer of UN-Habitat in the conference hall of the mentioned directorate.
At the outset, Hon. Feroz expressed his gratitude for the past activities of UN-Habitat in Afghanistan and asked for further cooperation in the future.
During this meeting, Hon. Feroz asked the UN-Habitat to operate in areas of the country where there is a great need and the
revenues of the municipalities cannot meet their expenses, and the budget should be spent on economic and basic projects.
Further, Hon. Feroz called on the World Bank to finish their incomplete projects in Afghanistan and requested the envoy of the above-mentioned to deliver this message to the officials of the said Bank.
Subsequently, the representative of the UN-Habitat provided information about their recent activities in the country and added that in the future, they will carry out its activities in coordination with the General Directorate of Coordination of Municipal Affairs.
He also mentioned that UN-Habitat is committed to operating based on the needs of the people so that the problems of the people can be solved and the projects can be carried out fundamentally.
This meeting, which started with the rotation of the Holy Quran, concluded with a prayer for goodwill.
