After 53 years, the Sarubi power dam generator was repaired and opened

After 53 years, the technical and professional staff of the Afghanistan Bareshna Company successfully repaired and reopened the generator of the Sarubi Power Plant. This achievement was carried out by the operation department of the Bareshna Company. Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rahmani, the chief operating officer of Afghanistan Electricity Company, emphasized the importance of technology and art as the main drivers of a country’s development. He acknowledged the significant role played by technical engineers, considering them as valuable assets for the nation’s progress.

Mr. Rahmani highlighted the benefits of local engineers conducting repairs, including the economic advantage of lower costs compared to foreign companies, as well as the opportunity for standard training and development of employees. He expressed gratitude to the leadership and technical staff of the Department of Production for successfully completing such a challenging task with limited resources. Mr. Rahmani provided them with recommendations for future improvements and assured them of continued cooperation.

Mawlawi Fazal-ur-Rehman Fazli, the head of the electricity production department, emphasized the need to further encourage the existing electricity workforce to achieve more significant accomplishments and reduce dependence on foreign assistance. It is worth mentioning that several notable individuals attended the opening meeting, including Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rahmani, the Chief Operating Officer of Afghanistan Electricity Company, Ahmed Weis Sargand, Deputy Operating Engineer of the Department, Mohammad Yousuf Umarkhail, Chief Engineer for Monitoring and Evaluation of Production Equipment, Farid Mominzada, Chief Engineer of Rail and Control Systems, and Dispatching Commander Engineer Mohibullah Mehboob.
