Futsal; A futsal competition titled “Media Cup” starts in Kabul

Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Physical Training and Sports and the Football Federation, a futsal competition involving 10 teams has commenced in Kabul.

Mawalwi Ahmadullah Wasiq, the Director General of physical training and sports, along with various officials and media representatives, attended the opening ceremony.

During the ceremony, Mawalwi Ahmadullah Wasiq expressed his appreciation for the media, emphasizing their role as important figures and spokespersons for the country. He acknowledged the media’s responsibility in reflecting the realities of society and expressed a desire for closer relations with them. Mr. Wasiq also thanked the Football Federation for their involvement and wished success to the media athletes participating in the competition.

Muhammad Yusuf Kargar, the President of the Football Federation, expressed gratitude to the media for their live coverage of the games. He highlighted the media’s significant contributions to the field of sports over the past two years, showcasing the achievements and honors of Afghan athletes.

Mr. Kargar further announced plans to form a selected team of media athletes from these competitions, who will represent Afghan media internationally and compete against media representatives from other countries.

It is mentionable that the primary objective of these competitions is to demonstrate unity and harmony among the country’s media.
