Ministry of Justice strongly disputes the assertions made by the US and other Western countries that Afghanistan lacks a constitution

Acting Minister of Justice Mawlawi Abdul-Hakim Sharei has emphasized that Afghanistan’s system is rooted in Islamic principles, with Allah’s Word and Prophetic Sunnah serving as the foundation for the country’s Constitution. He asserts that there are no legal flaws in this framework, which is based on the Holy Quran and Prophetic hadiths, making Afghanistan an Islamic nation. Minister Sharei dismisses claims from certain western countries and enemies of Afghanistan that suggest the country lacks a constitution.

In addressing the issue of land grabbing, Minister Sharei highlights that much of the land seizures occurred during the previous regime. Following the leadership decree of the Islamic Emirate, the Land Grab Prevention Commission was established to combat this issue. The commission comprises various government bodies, including the Ministries of Justice, Agriculture and Lands, Urban Development and Borders, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of Affairs.

Minister Sharei also expresses concern that the presence of multiple parties and organizations has contributed to the fragmentation of Afghanistan’s unity.
