Numerous prisoners were released from various prisons across the country following the directive of His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin

On the occasion of Eid-ul Fitr, a significant number of individuals detained in prisons in different provinces were granted freedom and reunited with their families. Specifically, 338 men, 40 women, and 28 children who had been apprehended for various offenses were released from Pul-e-Charkhi prison in Kabul.

Additionally, 103 prisoners were set free from Kandahar prison, with 25 others receiving reduced sentences.

Furthermore, 92 individuals were released from the general prison of Farah Province.

Officials emphasize that individuals are incarcerated by the Islamic Emirate with compassion and benevolence, and upon rehabilitation, they are reintegrated into society as law-abiding citizens.

The Supreme Court officials have also stated that, in accordance with the decree of His Highness Amir al-Mu’minin, a number of prisoners nationwide, particularly those with minor offenses, will be released before Eid al-Adha.

Currently, 406 prisoners have been released from Pul-e-Charkhi prison in Kabul, and this initiative is being carried out in 34 provinces across the country, ensuring that individuals with minor offenses are granted freedom before Eid-ul Fitr.
