The Prime Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf, has formally requested British Prime Minister Richardson to implement a ban on arms exports to Israel.
In his letter, Mr. Yousaf highlighted a previous communication dated February 23 urging the same action, emphasizing the urgent need to cease weapon transfers to Israel to prevent complicity in civilian casualties.
Despite the lack of response or action from the British government, Mr. Yousaf reiterated his plea, particularly in light of recent tragic events where seven individuals, including three Britons, lost their lives in an airstrike by Israeli forces. The Prime Minister of Scotland’s call for an arms embargo on Israel aims to address the ongoing attacks on innocent Palestinians and prevent further loss of life.
