Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, held a meeting with Ali Reza Bikdeli, Ambassador of Iran to Kabul, to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
During the discussion, Mr. Muttaqi characterized the aggressions by the United States and Israel against Iran, along with rising regional tensions, as detrimental to all countries in the region.
He also highlighted the expansion of trade relations between Afghanistan and Iran and commended Iranian authorities for their constructive stance on recent developments concerning Afghanistan-Pakistan relations.
In turn, Ambassador Bikdeli described Afghanistan-Iran bilateral relations, particularly in the trade sector, as positive, emphasizing that Tehran is closely monitoring developments between Afghanistan and Pakistan and advocates for their peaceful resolution.
