Ministry of Information and Culture appreciates poets and Naat chanters in a seminar

A two-day scientific and cultural seminar was organized by the Ministry of Information and Culture in honor of the famous poets and Naat chanters of the country.

On the second day of the seminar, useful speeches were given by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, Deputy Minister of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Director General of Olympics and Sports Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, and Abdul Sattar Saeed, the head of press and strategic relations of the prime minister. Additionally, the participants of the meeting had the opportunity to hear a video message sent by the central spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Maulawi Zabihullah Mujahid.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi highlighted the role of poets and Naat chanters as representatives and policy interpreters within the system. He mentioned that Mr. Mujahid had previously conveyed the system’s developments and policies to the world and the public through the press.

“Over the past 20 years, you have passionately defended the system through poetry, hymns, and melodious voices. We have maintained our dedication”. Mr. Muttaqi emphasized that it is now your responsibility to seize this opportunity and inspire the people.

“In addition, in your poems and hymns, instead of focusing on individuals, regions, or provinces, it is encouraged to chant poems and hymns that encompass the entire country and its system. This will prevent individuals with personal agendas from causing problems for the entire system in the press field, thus avoiding unnecessary suffering.”

Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa stated that the main purpose of this academic seminar is to unite the country’s poets and Naat chanters and utilize their talents to improve society and protect the country. He emphasized that poems should be used solely for the purpose of societal reform.

Mr. Khairkhawa positively evaluated the two-day seminar, considering the articles and speeches delivered as effective. He also highlighted the importance of the opinions and advice collected from the participants and expressed hope in benefiting from their positive perspectives and talents.

It is worth mentioning that a two-day scientific and cultural seminar was organized in Kabul to honor renowned poets and artists, with participation from poets and artists representing all provinces of the country, who were highly praised.
